In the afternoon of October 4, 2017 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health, The Health Minister, Mrs Nguyen Thi Kim Tien had a reception with Mr. Pieter De Crem, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Europe , the Kingdom of Belgium.

At the reception, the Secretary of State said that the relationship between the Ministry of Health Vietnam and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Europe and the Kingdom of Belgium is rapidly developing. The Minister of Health Vietnam and the Secretary of State exchanged relevant issues to promote health cooperation between the two sides. In the coming time, the Ministry of Health Vietnam is willing to cooperate in the fields which is the strength of the Kingdom of Belgium such as university and postgraduate training, social security, health insurance, epidemic prevention, primary care, pharmaceutical and medical equipment. The two sides hope to speed up the progress of two projects on family doctors and safe use of drugs. At the same time, the two sides jointly promoted the training and exchange of experts between the medical universities of the Kingdom of Belgium and Vietnam as well as the exchange of research information in the field of public health. At the reception, the Health Minister , Mrs.Nguyen Thi Kim Tien welcomed the delegation and supported the strengthening of trade cooperation and health care between the two countries' health sectors. At the same time, the Health Minister   Vietnam wishes in the coming time, the Kingdom of Belgium will promotes investment projects in Vietnam, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Vietnam, has achieved many positive results, contributing to the care and protection of the people's health.
