Attending the ceremony and congratulating on the achievements of E Hospital were Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien, Leaders from Ministerial Departments, Institutes, Hospitals, Representatives from Central Unions; leaders of localities, teachers, scientists, international guests, delegates, Board of Directors and employees of E Hospital.

               Established on 17 October, 1967 under the Prime Minister's Decision No. 175/ TTg, the E Hospital was granted with the mission of treating and taking care of the wounded soldiers of the southern battlefield. Over 50 years of founding and developing, E Hospital has become a Class I general hospital under the Ministry of Health with the scale of more than 1,000 beds (including 4 centers: cardiovascular, digestive, musculoskeletal, 38 clinical and subclinical departments, 11 functional departments). The medical team of the hospital consists of 1,014 staff, of which, doctors with postgraduate degrees account for more than 70%. Each year, the E hospital received nearly 300 thousand outpatients and more than 20,000 inpatients on average.

               Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien noted and appreciated the achievements of the hospital in recent years. The Minister also urged greater efforts from leaders and staff of the hospital in the coming time for unity, initiatives, creativeness tokeep taking lead in specialized fields the hospital’s strength such as cardiovascular, digestive and musculoskeletal joints, expanding cooperation and developing new fields of medical examination and treatment such as preventive medicine blood transfusion, radiation therapy, electrosurgical intervention, robotic surgery, organ transplantation, excellent completion of care and protection of people's health.

  

On the occasion of the 50^th anniversary of its establishment, the Hospital E was honored to be with awarded the Government’sEmulation Flag; the emblem of emulation soldiers 2016 for 02 individuals of the hospital; certificates of merit from the Minister of Health  for 17 collectives and 39 individuals.
