The exhibition is a chance to introduce guidelines and policies of the Party and State in relation to medicine, as well as new advances and achievements of the domestic and international medical industry.

It also aims to open up opportunities for domestic and foreign businesses to introduce, promote, exchange, and seek partners, expand markets, and transfer technologies in the field, thus improving efficiency in production and business, while contributing to improving people's health, Tien affirmed.

Participants at the four-day event display a wide range of health products, equipment, technologies and services, including medicine; functional foods; hospital-clinic, dentistry, and ophthalmology technical equipment; healthcare products; chemicals; and high quality healthcare services.

Vietnam’s Ministry of Health is participating in this year’s event with a booth themed "Vietnam Health - Towards Patient Satisfaction," in addition to displaying publications and materials to provide knowledge on public health care activities, disease prevention, renovating working style and attitudes of medical staff towards patients’ satisfaction, and promoting the information channel via implementation of the "Health Ministry Hotline" and the "Feedback Box,” as well as a project to support patients in hospitals by young physicians and volunteer students.

The expo also runs in conjunction with the 10^th Vietnam International Hospital Exhibition, International Rehabilitation & Healthcare Technology Exhibition & Conference, and the 6^th Vietnam International Dental Exhibition.

In addition, many seminars and forums will take place during the show, such as those related to guiding the implementation of the Law on Pharmacy and classification of medical equipment, responding to the World Hypertension Day, a symposium on bacteria and gastrointestinal health and cancer treatment with and stem cells and immunotherapy.

A series of public awareness-raising campaigns, blood donation and partnership promotion are also scheduled as part of the exhibition.
